Rev. Dr. Markiet Lewis

Rev. Dr. Markiet Lewis

Rev. Dr. Markiet Lewis is a native of Lumberton, Mississippi but now

resides in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He is the son of Reverend Keith and

Jacqueline Lewis. In March 2012, Pastor Lewis married the former

Sabrina R. McSwain and they have 5 children together.

Pastor Lewis accepted Christ into his life July 7, 2007. Then, he

accepted God’s call to preach and was licensed in May 2010 under the

leadership of Rev. Benjamin Winston, Sr. at Sweet Beulah Baptist

Church, Lumberton, Mississippi. Pastor Lewis was ordained in February

2015 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Phillip McSwain, Sr. at Greater

Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Gulfport, Mississippi.

Pastor Lewis now serves as Pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist

Church in Laurel, Mississippi. Pastor Lewis’ other pastoral assignment

includes St John Baptist Church, Brooklyn, MS. In addition to his

pastoral duties, Pastor Lewis also serves as Instructor of Evangelism

and Coordinator of Online Courses at Lift Bible Crusade College and

Seminary, Incorporated, Ocean Springs, MS.

Pastor Lewis received his formal education in Lumberton, MS. In 1999,

he graduated from Lumberton High School. He later enlisted in the

United States Navy and was honorably discharged in June 2012 after 8

years of service.

He received a Bachelor of Theology Degree in June 2014, Master of

Ministry in July 2015, and Doctorate of Ministry in July 2017 all from

Higher Calling Bible College and Theological Seminary in Hattiesburg,

MS. Pastor Lewis received his Bachelor of Science in Ministry and

Leadership Degree at Grace Christian University, Grand Rapid,

Michigan in January 2020.
